Boots & Superdrug Haul

Just a few essentials that I have picked up from Boots and Superdrug, I picked these up a couple of weeks ago I just haven't got round to blogging them.

This month, my skin has been so dry! I've never known it like this before! After finding the Nivea Creme unsuitable and highly fragranced (not good for sensitive skin!), I was on the hunt for another purse friendly moisturiser.

I've never noticed the Boots Simply Sensitive range (not sure how long they have been around?), so thought I would give the Hydrating Moisteriser & the Protecting Day Moisteriser with SPF 15 a whirl! These were on offer at £1.50ish each. They're usually £2.79 each, so still very purse friendly.

Sticking with the Boots Simply Sensitive range, I also picked up the Face Wipes for around the same price. I don't expect these to do anything different that any other face wipes would do, but I had ran out of mine so needed some.

I noticed that my current foundation was on offer, All Maybelline 2 for £10. So I put two Dream Fresh BB Creams in 'Light' into my basket. I've also been on the look out for a pressed powder, ideally I wanted the Rimmel one but my shade wasn't in stock, typical. So I picked up the Natural Collection Pressed Powder in 'Warm'. I've used this pressed powder before in 'Neutral' but found it a little too orange on my pale skin. This one looks lighter. You can find all Natural Collection products in Boots for £1.99.

I also bought these face wipes form Wilkos, they're always on offer for 2 for £1. I normally buy the green ones and they're pretty decent, but I'm not fond of these ones. I didn't realise they were exfoliating facewipes, they're sort of scratchy on my face, which I guess is for 'exfoliating' so a lot of people would like these. I'm not a fan, but each to their own.

The shampoo and conditioner are new but firm favourites of mine. I've been looking for my favourite hair washing products for a while and I think i've found it in these ones. I've tried the whole range and I am a massive fan! They remind me the Pantene range, but for a fraction of the price, and are just as good. These are Superdrug's own brand and you can pick them up for £1.99 each, they're currently on offer for 2 for £2.99! Definitely worth it.

As I mentioned, I've been suffering from very dry skin, to the point where it's started bleeding it's that sore! Especially on my wrists and knuckles. I picked up this Dermatological E45 Cream on a whim, knowing that it is specifically for dry skin. It's been a savior and really helped to clear it up.

High Street Beauty Wishlist Autumn 2012

Just a picture list of my beauty finds that I would love to get my hands on for this Autumn, all of which are available on the Great British High Street.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent - £3.99
I used to use this religiously a couple of years ago, and I have now fell back in love with it! It keeps your face shine free, and give it a 'Matte' look. You can buy it from Boots and Superdrug.

Maxfactor Eye Brightening Mascara for Blue Eyes - £7.99
This caught my eye when it first came out, I was intrigued to see if it does make my blue eyes brighter, but never bought it because I had just started using my current mascara. I've not heard many reviews about it, so I would like to give it a whirl. This is available from Boots or Superdrug.

Rimmel Day to Night Mascara in Black - £7.99
I've wanted to try this for a while after hearing so many good reviews about it. It's very hyped up by beauty bloggers, and I'm all for long, voluminous lashes! This is available from Boots or Superdrug.

W7 Double Up 2 Step Mascara in Black - £2ish
I've heard that this is an amazing dupe for the Day to Night mascara and for £6 less you can't go wrong! I think I will more than likely be purchasing this soon. You can buy it from Bodycare or Xtras.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Ivory - £8.99
Again, I've wanted to try this for a while, but never have. This is hyped up as well, and everyone mentions good reviews about it. I'd love to try this out in the colder months where I think I need a bit more coverage than what a BB cream can offer. You can buy this from Boots or Superdrug.

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Balm in Lovesick - £7.99
I haven't seen these in my local Boots as of yet but I really like the look of them online. £7.99 is pricey for a lipbalm, but it's the colour I am most drawn to!

Real Techniques Powder Brush - £9.99
Again another hyped up product. I am yet to see a bad review about the Real Techniques brushes, and this is on my Christmas list this year.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush - £11.99
Same again, I'm yet to hear a bad word about these brushes. As mush as I love my ELF Stippling Brush, I would love to try out this. This is on my Christmas list this year.

Ardell Demi Wispies Eyelashes - £5.49
I keep looking at these in Boots and thinking shall I buy them shall I not.. They are gorgeous natural lashes.

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Watermelon £3.99
I love love love this! This is the perfect colour for Autumn, and it gives a lovely glossy shine to your nails. I think it is supposed to give you a sort of gel manicure effect.

MUA Mosaic Blush in English Rose - £2.50
This is my favourite blusher, but every Superdrug I go in has sold out! Nooo! My one has just hit pan so I really need to get another asap. It gives such a lovely natural pinky glow to your cheeks.

MUA Nail Constellation in Pisces - £3.00
These look interesting! I think MUA are now two steps ahead! These are tiny little beads that you place on your nail to give a 'pearl manicure'. Very different.

MUA Nail Varnish in Stormy Skies - £1.00
This is a gorgeous Autumn colour! I own a few MUA nail varnishes and I am very impressed with them. For £1 they are very good quality! I also love that MUA are now putting shade names on their products instead of just numbers!

MUA Shimmer Kiss Blusher in Pink Shimmer - £3.00
This caught my eye online, i'm yet to see it in my local Superdrug (they usually don't put products out until 2 month after they have launched), but I would love to try it. And if they are no longer stocking my beloved Mosaic Blush, then I think this shall be the next best thing!

MUA Cream Blush in Bittersweet - £2.00
I've never used a cream blush before, I actually haven't seen many on the highstreet, so again MUA are two steps ahead! This colour looks gorgeous, and for only £2.00 it really is a bargain in my book.

So that's the end of my Autumn Wishlist for now, no doubt I will be adding to it! Keep a look out for my High Street Skincare Wishlist, Christmas Wishlist and Christmas Present Giftguide coming soon!

What's on your High Street Beauty Wishlist this Autumn?

Everyday Make-Up Aug '12

These products are the ones that I have been loving for the past few months.

I've used Johnson's Moisturiser for about 5 years now, it's my go to moisturiser and I think I will forever repurchase it. But on my nose I currently have really dry skin and the Johnson's moisturiser does nothing for it, so I purchased the Nivea Creme moisturiser just to see if it made any difference. I'm currently trying it out and so far I really like it!

I don't always prime my face, only when I feel I need it. I use 'Prime It' from Bodycare. I have large pores around my nose, so I use Benefit's 'The Porefessional'. I've read lots of mixed views about this, but personally it works really well for me and makes my pores less visable. I wouldn't pay full price for it though.

I've also used Maybelline 'Dream Matte Mousse' foundation for about 5 years, and I always find myself coming back to it. I love the weightless feeling it leaves on my skin. I was recently send a sample of the new Maybelline 'Dream Fresh BB Cream', and I have to say I really really love it! I will definatly be purchasing the full size when i'm next in Boots/Superdrug!

I use Natural Collection Pressed Powder in Neutral, it's ok for £1.99, and I would probably repurchase.

Next up is blushers.. I have three that I use on a regular basis. My all time favourite is the MUA Mosaic Blush in English Rose (Bottom). It gives such a natural flush of colour to my cheeks. And for £2.50 it's a complete bargain. I know that I will repurchase this for a very long time.

Excuse the grubby well loved-ness of the products! I wouldn't be without my Elf Blush in'Shy' (Top) and my other Elf blush in 'Pink Passion'. Such lovely colours.

I don't tend to use concealer that much, but when I do I use 17 Hide & Chic. I got this free on a Boots Advantage Card offer.

For mascara, I wouldn't be without Maybelline 'One by One'. This is the best mascara I've used in years!

To fill my eyebrows in I use just a light brown pencil from 2true in Superdrug. I love the natural look it gives.

On my lips I use Vaseline or MUA Love Hearts Lip Balm in Sweet Kiss to moisturise them.

I then use one of the above lipsticks. (L-R) Elf Studio Matte Lip Colour in 'Natural, MUA Lipstick in 'Bare', MUA Lipstick in Shade 6, Natural Collection Lipstick, NYC Lipstick in Blue Rose.

Boots, Bodycare & Tesco Haul

Just a small haul but I thought that I would share with you what I picked up from my recent shopping trip.

I picked up these from Boots, they're both repurchases. I've been using both these products since about May and I absolutely love them! I haven't needed to straighten my hair since May as these products have helped hugely with that. I spray these onto my hair after washing it, then blow dry my hair. My hair is naturally very long and thin, but since using these I've noticed that my hair has become thicker and I think that it has grown a lot more faster than it has in years! They are on offer at the moment 2 for £5.

Next I went to Bodycare, I picked up a miniature pot of Nivea for about £1. I'm in need of a new moisturiser, my skin has become so dry at the moment, I blame it on the constant change of English weather! So I thought I would give this a whirl!

I also picked up this Schwarzkopf Heat Protection Spray, just to try out. It was £2 so pretty good.

I love face mask! I find them so detoxing and relaxing. So I couldn't resist picking these two up. I used the cream & Honey one last night and oh my! It smells so delicious. It left my skin feeling smooth, soft and hydrated. These were 79p each.

I then nipped to Tesco, they have some amazing deals on skincare at the minute! I repurchased my favourite eye make-up remover. It's currently on offer for £1.49.

I also repurchased my daily facial moisturiser. This was £2.

I picked up some cheapy facial wipes, as I ran out of my usual ones and forgot to get some more, so I thought I would give these a go. They were 49p.

I then saw that Oral B electric tooth brush heads were on offer for £12.99 for 5 heads! Mine's due for being changed so I picked these up too.

Have you found any bargains lately?
